At least once a day, we have a conversation regarding whether to place veneers or crowns on a patients’ discolored teeth. Often, the decision is to do neither, and the first choice is to simply whiten the teeth first. After we Zoom!® a patient’s teeth, the results are so good that patients do not need any more cosmetic dentistry.
On many occasions, so many teeth come out lighter after bleaching that fewer crowns or veneers are needed, and we just restore tthe teeth that are crooked or misshapen. We match the lighter teeth and the results are excellent and much simpler (and less expensive and easier for the patient).
We recently had a patient that wanted all her teeth made lighter. After bleaching, the Zoom made all of her teeth look so light that we only had to place crowns on four of her upper front teeth. She actually was referred by a friend that had very similar results in our office.
We also had a husband and wife who both had discolored teeth. We bleached the husband’s teeth first, and even I was amazed how light and bright his teeth came out. His wife came into our office and was jealous that her husband’s teeth came out so white and shiny. She wanted us to bleach hers, so they would be as light as his and with a few veneers, they both were dazzling and ecstatic with the results. You can see them both walking around Boynton Beach, they are flashing their new smiles to all their friends and neighbors.
