Cost of dental implants

Like everything in life, quality and price range for teeth implants and abutments

Written by the dentists at Lissauer Dental, providing implant dentistry to Boynton Beach, Palm Beach and Delray Beach, Florida

All dental work varies in cost depending on many factors, especially the experience of the dentist and the quality of the materials used in the office.

However, regardless of the office, the cost of a dental implant is typically divided into multiple parts depending on what the implant is being used for:

If a dental implant is being used to replace a single tooth, there are typically three parts of the process that have separate fees:

  1. Dental implant surgery: This is the cost of placing the dental implant screw.
  2. Abutment: The abutment connects the implant screw to the crown on top.
  3. Crown: The crown looks like and feels just like a natural tooth and is connected to the implant screw via the abutment.

If your dental implant is being used to hold in a denture or partial denture, there are typically two parts of the process that have separate fees:

  1. Dental implant surgery: This is the cost of placing the dental implant screw.
  2. Abutment: The abutment is typically a ball on top of the implant screw that snaps into a corresponding socket on the inside of the denture or partial denture. Companies make various abutments, which range drastically in quality. Thus, the prices and quality of abutments vary widely. However, these abutments serve a similar purpose: to clip the denture into the implant screw and hold the denture in place.

At Lissauer Dental, we pride ourselves on only using the highest quality materials and implants while still offering affordable prices to better serve the south Florida community. With digital x-rays and lasers, we use the most advanced technologies in the dental field. Also, we confidently believe that we use the best dental laboratory in the country.

Dr. Lee Hauer: Periodontist & Implant placement specialist

Our implant placement specialist, periodontist Dr. Lee Hauer, comes to the office each week to perform the highest quality implant surgeries. Dr. Hauer uses only the most technological equipment and has over 18 years of training and experience in implant dentistry. Dental implants are such a common procedure in our office that we are extremely familiar with all implant types. We personally prefer to use Nobel Biocare implants, as they are made from the highest quality materials and are extremely well researched and tested. Nobel Biocare even provides a Warranty on their implant parts, which is unique in the industry. Actually, patients often present to our office with old implants, nervous because they forgot the name of the implant system used. Due to our familiarity with all implant systems, we are able to figure out the company of the implant and address any of the patient’s concerns. If you live in the south Florida area and are considering dental implants, please feel free to schedule a complimentary evaluation in our office.
